ICC has published an evaluative report detailing how the InGAME project grew scale and value for the Dundee videogames cluster. From 2018 through 2023, InGAME was an R&D Centre providing research, support and services for the games and media industry in the city and beyond.
Written by ICC staff researcher Melinda Grewar and Professor Shiona Chillas, the report also provides case studies and an evaluation of the intermediary role played by InGAME’s research & development team, as it helped local companies adapt to opportunities and challenges facing the industry.
ICC and the University of St Andrews Business School partnered Abertay and Dundee universities and local businesses and public sector organisations to deliver InGAME, a £11.5m UKRI Research Council project to advance the videogames industry cluster in Dundee. ICC’s involvement focussed on the research of entrepreneurship, innovation, collaboration and organisation of sustainable creative businesses within the videogames sector.
